“Sturmanskie” - a story of space exploration, captured in wristwatches. The first man in space - Yuri Gagarin - took with him “Sturmanskie” which proved its reliability in the conditions of zero gravity. Today, space travel - is more common, more frequent, therefore, the requirements for safety and comfort of all technical devices, from space shuttles to watches, increased a lot. Watches for the astronauts must have high resistance to aggressive environment - magnetic fields & vibrations. If electronics fails, only mechanics will work, so it must also a mechanical watch to keep time in space. But most of the time astronaut spends time on the ground, being trained in the conditions of zero gravity simulation – under the water. And so, from the space watch, we already expect water resistance and, as a “must have” - one of the most practical inventions in the history of watch making - automatic winding. Looking straight into the future, we have created «Mars», which, thanks to its unique features, will be invaluable in space journeys and on Earth. We’ve achieved all vitally important features in this Model: Antimagnetic, Anti-shock, water resistance and automatic. The movement is protected by anti-magnetic capsule and supported by three connectors inside the main case – idea inspired by peripheral docking unit invented for the “Soyuz” - “Apollo” flight. Due to transparent construction movement of this watch can be observed through the front glass and back cover, so the impression of levitation in zero gravity appears. Besides the functionality and technologies, we have created at the same time the emotional subject.
