These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern purchases made at ewatcheshouse.com (the “Website”). They apply to consumer purchases (B2C). If you are buying as a business, different rules may apply—contact us before ordering.

2. Scope & Acceptance

By placing an order you confirm that:

  • you are at least 18 years old; and

  • you accept these Terms and our Privacy & Cookie Policy.

These Terms apply only to orders placed directly on our Website. Marketplaces (e.g., Chrono24, eBay, Etsy, local classifieds) have their own terms that apply to those transactions.

3. Products, Condition & Fit Notes

  • We sell modern watches, vintage/collectible watches, clocks, and accessories. Product pages states each item's condition and signs of wear (if any). Photos form part of the description; minor cosmetic signs on vintage pieces are normal.

  • Unless stated otherwise, vintage watches are not guaranteed water-resistant. Any water-resistance claims on modern watches apply only as rated by the manufacturer and subject to proper maintenance and periodic pressure testing.

  • Bracelet sizing/link removal and strap hole punching are considered normal fitting services; if you return a watch after such adjustments, we may reasonably deduct diminished value (see §11). (EUR-Lex)

4. Pricing, Currency & Taxes

Prices are shown in EUR and, where applicable, include Latvian VAT.
Shipping costs (and any optional services) are shown at checkout. Orders delivered outside the EU may be subject to import duties, taxes and fees, payable by you to your local customs authority.

We reserve the right to correct obvious pricing mistakes before shipping. If we do, you may cancel for a full refund.

5. Ordering & Contract Formation

After you place an order, you’ll receive an email acknowledgment. The sales contract is formed when we send a shipping confirmation email. If we cannot accept your order (e.g., stock or verification issues), we will cancel and refund.

6. Payment & Security

We accept Stripe cards and other methods shown at checkout. We may use anti-fraud screening and may request additional verification (e.g., proof of identity or delivery address). We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order we suspect is fraudulent.

7. Shipping, Delivery & Risk

  • We ship from Latvia using reputable carriers. Delivery estimates are not guarantees. If a delivery becomes impossible or excessively delayed, you may have statutory remedies, including cancellation as permitted by EU law. (EUR-Lex)

  • Risk and title: risk passes to you when you (or your nominated person) take physical possession of the goods. If you organize your own carrier (not offered by us), risk may pass at hand-over to that carrier. (EUR-Lex)

  • We recommend selecting adult signature on delivery for higher-value items.

8. International Shipping

You are responsible for ensuring the goods can be lawfully imported into the destination country and for paying any duties, taxes, brokerage or clearance fees.

9. Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)

If you purchase as a consumer and reside in the EU/EEA, you have 14 calendar days from the day you receive the goods to withdraw from a distance contract, without giving any reason. To exercise the right, send us a clear statement (email is fine). You may use our Model Withdrawal Form (see §17) but it’s not mandatory. (EUR-Lex)

Refunds: We will reimburse all payments received, including the cheapest standard outbound delivery cost, within 14 days of being informed of your decision to withdraw. We may withhold refund until we receive the goods back or you supply proof of return, whichever is earlier. (EUR-Lex)

Returns: Unless we offer free returns, you bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You must send back the goods within 14 days of notifying withdrawal. (EUR-Lex)

Use & diminished value: You may handle the goods to establish nature, characteristics and functioning (as in a shop). If use goes beyond that (e.g., visible wear, protective films removed and discarded, strap cut to size), we may deduct any diminished value from your refund. (EUR-Lex)

9.1 Withdrawal Exceptions (examples)

No withdrawal right for:

  • goods made to your specifications or clearly personalized (e.g., custom-engraving);

  • sealed goods not suitable for return due to health/hygiene reasons if unsealed after delivery (e.g., certain straps, if individually sealed and hygiene-sensitive);

  • fully performed services after your express consent and acknowledgment you lose the right to withdraw. (EUR-Lex)

10. Returns Process

  1. Email support@ewatcheshouse.com with your order number and intent to withdraw.

  2. Pack the item securely, including all accessories, links, papers, gifts, tags and original packaging.

  3. Ship to: Brīvības gat. 92/94, Centra rajons, Rīga, LV-1001, Latvia. We recommend tracked/insured shipping.

  4. Keep proof of posting.

11. Statutory Warranty (Legal Guarantee)

EU consumers are entitled to a legal guarantee of conformity of at least 2 years from delivery. Defects that appear within 1 year are presumed to have existed at delivery unless we prove otherwise (some countries extend this to 2 years). Remedies include repair or replacement; if those are impossible or disproportionate, you may be entitled to price reduction or contract termination. (European Union)

Used/vintage goods: For second-hand items, we and you may agree to a shorter liability period, but not less than 1 year; any such reduction will be clearly shown on the product page/checkout. (EUR-Lex)

This statutory guarantee is separate from any commercial warranty (manufacturer’s warranty). Commercial warranty terms (if provided) will be stated in the product page or documentation and do not limit your statutory rights. (EUR-Lex)

12. After-sales Service & Repairs

For warranty claims or paid servicing (battery replacement, regulation, polishing, pressure tests), contact us first. Unauthorized repairs may void commercial warranty coverage. We are not responsible for loss/damage to customer property not properly declared or packed when sent to us for service.

13. Condition Reports & Accuracy

We endeavor to describe condition and accuracy honestly. Timekeeping tolerances vary by movement type, age and service history. Vintage pieces may show patina or historical servicing. Unless explicitly stated, vintage watches are not tested for water-resistance and should be kept away from moisture.

14. Promotional Offers & Gift Items

Promotions (discount codes, bundled gifts, loyalty credits) are subject to specific terms. If you return items obtained as part of a bundle or gift promotion, you must return the promotional items too; otherwise we may deduct their value from your refund (as permitted by law).

15. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law. To the extent permitted by law, we will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses. Your mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

16. Complaints, ADR & Dispute Resolution

Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR): The EU Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025. Consumers can find information on redress options via the Consumer Redress in the EU portal and national ADR bodies. In Latvia, the competent authority for consumer protection is the Patērētāju tiesību aizsardzības centrs (PTAC). (Consumer Redress in the EU)

Court jurisdiction: If we cannot resolve a dispute, you may bring proceedings before the courts of Latvia or, where mandatory law so provides, the courts of your habitual residence.

17. Intellectual Property

All content on the Website (text, photos, logos) is owned by us or used with permission. You may not copy or use any content without written authorization.

18. Reviews & User Content

If you post a review, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display it. We may moderate reviews that are abusive, unlawful, or clearly unrelated to your purchase.

19. Sanctions & Export Controls

You confirm you are not purchasing for use contrary to applicable sanctions/export rules. We may refuse orders that would breach such rules.

20. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., strikes, carrier disruptions, natural disasters).

21. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version posted at checkout when you order applies to that order.

22. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Latvia, subject to your mandatory consumer protections under the law of your country of residence.
